We connect community, knowledge, and collective action for human rights
Who we are
NEXUM is an independent organization working at the intersection of human rights, public policy, and collective action.
We connect research, communities, and institutions to promote more just, inclusive, and participatory societies.
While our work is rooted in the experience of migrant communities, it expands to broader social challenges, contributing to the design, analysis, and transformation of public policies through a human rights lens.
We believe that access to knowledge, meaningful participation, and strong community networks are essential to building more equitable societies. NEXUM creates spaces where these elements come together to strengthen social bonds, foster inclusion, and drive sustainable change.
What we do
NEXUM connects research, public policy, community engagement, and cultural expression to transform knowledge into action.
Through applied research, training programs, community-based initiatives, and cultural projects, we bridge the gap between data, institutions, and lived experiences.
Our work supports individuals and communities while also driving structural change.
We act as a platform that links evidence with action, ensuring that human rights are not only recognized, but effectively implemented.
We combine

Our impact in Canada
NEXUM’s impact is built at the intersection of knowledge, public action, and community life.
On one hand, NEXUM acts as a bridge between evidence and decision-making. Through data production and analysis, we generate clear, accessible, and evidence-based information that helps understand the current state of social issues. This work not only makes realities visible, but also provides concrete recommendations for the design and implementation of more just, inclusive, and effective public policies.
At the same time, NEXUM serves as a transparent and reliable source of information, where organizations, institutions, and communities can access relevant data to guide their actions and strengthen advocacy processes.
On the other hand, our impact is reflected in the strengthening of community ties. Through our programs and spaces for connection, we foster a sense of belonging and build support networks among migrant communities. These spaces not only facilitate integration, but also contribute to emotional well-being and mental health.
In addition, we promote cultural, artistic, and recreational activities as key tools for expression, connection, and the construction of shared identities. In this way, NEXUM drives structural change while also supporting individual and collective processes that build more resilient, connected, and empowered communities.
Our approach
NEXUM works to transform the relationship between data, power, and communities by placing knowledge at the service of human rights and social justice.
We combine
This integrated approach allows us to address both structural challenges and everyday realities.
